Basic Policy on Shareholder Return

We strive to continuously increase our enterprise value and are proactively working on shareholder returns. While prioritizing business investment to realize growth, we strive to steadily and sustainably increase dividends based on medium- to long-term profit growth on a consolidated basis, and flexibly acquire treasury stock as necessary to improve capital efficiency and the level of return.

  • *We carried out a 1:1.1 stock split and then a 1:2 stock split on September 1, 2023 and June 1, 2025, respectively, as the effective dates. Dividends per share shown are figures adjusted after the stock splits.
  • *DOE stands for Dividend On Equity ratio and is obtained by dividing total dividends by shareholder’s equity and multiplying it by 100 (%). We use total dividends and shareholder’s equity to obtain DOE.
  • *The dividend for the fiscal year ended May 2022 includes a commemorative dividend.

Shareholder benefits program

We have introduced a shareholder benefit program effective from November 2025 (record date) to express our gratitude to our shareholders for their ongoing support and to contribute to the healthy lives of our shareholders and the realization of a society in which people live long and healthy lives as a pharmaceutical company.

Shareholders eligible for shareholder benefits

Eligible shareholders are those who have held 100 or more of the Company's shares for six months or more as of the record date (the last day of November and the last day of May each year).
However, on the record date of the end of November 2025, immediately after the introduction of the shareholder benefits program, all shareholders holding 100 or more shares of the Company's stock will be eligible.

  • The requirement for continued ownership is that shareholders whose ownership is listed or recorded in the shareholder register for two consecutive periods (end of November and end of May) using the same shareholder number are eligible.
  • For products with multiple items per box, each box counts as one unit.
  • The URL for the Shareholder Benefits Shop will be included in each Shareholder Benefits Information Letter.

Timing of the Distribution

The record dates are the last day of November and the last day of May each year, and the information will be sent by mail along with the documents for shareholders within three months of the rights determination date.
The timing of sending notifications and the period of use corresponding to each base date are as shown in the table below.
More details will be provided in the shareholder benefit information letter sent to eligible shareholders.
