What Are OTC Drugs?
“OTC” is the abbreviation for “over-the-counter.” OTC drugs are non-prescription drugs available “over the counter” at a pharmacy or drug store without prescriptions written by doctors.
Manufacture of OTC Drugs
Under a rigorous quality management system, we manufacture OTC drugs developed in-house or jointly with other companies. We are also engaged in the manufacture of OTC drugs contracted with major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Sale of OTC Drugs
We sell our OTC drug products to major and middle-ranking pharmaceutical manufacturers in Japan. Therefore, we do not sell our OTC products directly to general consumers or retailers.
In their daily sales activities, our salespersons collect information from manufacturers and cooperate with our R&D Unit with a view to launching epoch-making OTC products that anticipate the needs of customers.
